Universitaet Wien has set up a Prepay Membership with Springer Nature. If your paper is accepted by a BioMed Central or SpringerOpen or Chemistry Central journal, we will directly invoice Vienna University Library and the article processing charges (APC) will be deducted from Universitaet Wien's account.Please note that submitting under Universitaet Wien Prepay Membership is only possible within the network (IP-range) of the University of Vienna. More Information: http://openaccess.univie.ac.at/bmc

As an affiliated author from Universitaet Wien, you may be entitled to submit your manuscript without paying the article processing charge (APC). Please note that eligibility is tied to affiliation, i.e. funding via this agreement is only possible if you list Universitaet Wien as one of your institutions.

If you submit from an IP address that has been registered by your institution, the APC will be waived automatically at the end of the submission process.

If you submit using a non-registered IP address, please choose your institution from the drop down list on the payment options page and our Customer Services will be in touch to check your affiliation.

If you have the membership submission code, please enter it in option 3 of the APC estimate section during the submission process.
