Dr. Hye-Won Seo is a Professor of Department of Physics at Jeju National University, Jeju, Korea. She obtained her B.S. from Ewha Woman’s University in 1996 and Ph.D. from the University of Houston at Texas in 2004. After 2 years as a postdoctoral fellow at the Texas Superconductivity Center (2004~2006)) at Houston, she was appointed to the Department of Physics & Astronomy at University of Arkansas as a Assistant Professor (2006) and promoted to Tenured Associate Professor in 2011. She moved to Department of Physics at Jeju National University and currently serve as a Full Professor position.
This thematic issue is dedicated to showcasing the latest research on metal and oxide-based nanocomposites and their diverse applications, spanning from energy storage to display technologies. As the demand for specialized functionality increases, the precision-engineered materials and structures become increasingly essential. In this context, low-dimensional composites emerge as innovative solutions. The issue emphasizes recent developments concerning material properties, synthesis techniques, and device performance, and it also explores prospective pathways for future advancements.
