VIII Italian National Congress of Archaeometry

The 8th edition of the National Congress of AIAr was held at the Conference Centre of the National Research Council in Bologna, 5-7 February 2014. The purpose of the Congress was to foster dialogue and exchange ideas at the national level about the state of research aimed at the protection and preservation of cultural heritage.

Topics covered during the conference included: Characterization and Diagnostics, Preventive Conservation and Restoration, Technology Innovation, Innovative Materials and Nanotechnology, Origin and Dating and Enhancement and Protection.

All presenters were invited to contribute full papers based on the work being presented for publication in this themed series.
