Pervasive Computing Systems

Pervasive networking has recently emerged as a new research topic in the area of communication network systems. It mainly involves methods, algorithms and protocols that enable devices to autonomously self-organize in network structures and use those infrastructures to facilitate the exchange of information and delivery of services. These systems typically communicate via low-cost and energy efficient ambient wireless technologies so as to enable seamless interaction and service provisioning. The objective of this thematic series is to capture recent developments and publish ongoing research activities in the area of pervasive computing systems.
