Headache and Pain

The Headache and Pain Collection is a new venue for research in the field of headache disorders and pain and publishes original research on the impact, epidemiology, nature, mechanisms and treatment of all forms of headache and pain. The Collection provides a platform for the dissemination of research in the basic and clinical sciences from a multidisciplinary point of view.

Meet the Editors

Professor Paolo Martelletti is Professor of Internal Medicine and Director and Master in Headache Medicine at the Sapienza University of Rome. Other posts include: Director of the Regional Referral Headache Centre, Sant’Andrea Hospital, Rome; Chairman of Lifting The Burden, The Global Campaign against Headache (2009-2014); President-Elect, European Headache Federation (2014-2016); Editor-in-Chief (Founding), The Journal of Headache and Pain, Springer (2004-2015).

Maria Adele Giamberardino

 

Maria Adele Giamberardino, MD, lives and works in Chieti, where she is Associate Professor of Internal Medicine (since 1999), Research Director of the “Pathophysiology of Pain Laboratory” (since 1994), Head of the “Center for Fibromyalgia and Musculoskeletal Pain” (since 2000) and of the “Headache Center” (since 2005) at the Department of Medicine and Science of Aging of the “G. D’Annuznio” University.
