Linked to the existing Springer subscription journal Amino Acids, the Amino Acids Article Collection provides our authors with a high quality route to open access publication across a broader research scope.

Subject matters for the Article Collection include both specific and interdisciplinary coverage of the following aspects of amino acid, peptide and protein research:

Biochemistry, biomedicine, chemistry, food science, immunology, nutrition, physiology, pharmacology, reproduction, and toxicology of amino acids, peptides, and proteins, as well as genetics and bioinformatics related to synthesis, catabolism, and utilization of these fascinating substances in humans, animals (including fish), microorganisms, and plants.

We welcome direct submissions of reviews and original research articles related to amino acids, as well as their products (including peptides, proteins, peptides, and metabolites) in biomedicine, agriculture, and other disciplines of biological sciences. The Collection will also consider so-called ‘negative result’ studies.
