Living with environmental change: An analysis of social-ecological adaptations in lagoon systems across the world

This thematic series is a collection of research from lagoons around the world, which relates to ways in which people live with dynamic and often unpredictable environments of lagoon systems. By focusing on lagoons as an integrated socio-ecological system, each author contributes to the understanding of how societies respond to, and deal with, environmental change and its implications for sustainability. Collectively, the thematic series forms an evidence base which illuminates the striking similarities that can be found across different lagoon systems.  It also highlights potential themes for comparative learning, and advocates a more coordinated international approach to lagoon governance and research.
