This article collection brings together case studies from different countries in order to address the relationship between the Triple-Helix of University-Industry-Government, and the spatial entity that is the city. Taken together these papers present a shift towards an evolutionary and systems perspective, as well as new models of providing governance for spatially and temporally overlapping innovation systems, on different levels.
