Unfitted techniques in computational mechanics

This special issue will focus on the topic to “unfitted” techniques in computational mechanics. Unfitted techniques, also known as “embedded” or “immersed” approaches, represent a hot topic in Computational Mechanics due to their potential in lifting some of the outstanding restrictions of current techniques.
