Proceedings of International Conference on Applied Analysis and Mathematical Modeling 2013

This thematic Series originates from the International Conference on Applied Analysis and Mathematical Modeling which will be held on 2-5 June 2013 in Istanbul. It is focused on new ideas in the area on boundary value problems and related topics. The studies of boundary value problems for ordinary and partial differential equations are driven not only by a theoretical interest but also by the fact that several phenomena in engineering, various fields of physics and modeling and numerical simulations assisted by computer algebra systems.

On Volterra-type integral equations in noncompact metric space

In the present work, we consider one of the possible generalizations of linear and nonlinear Volterra integral equations of the second kind in the case when the independent variable belongs to an arbitrary non...

    Chlodowsky variant of q-Bernstein-Schurer-Stancu operators

It was Chlodowsky who considered non-trivial Bernstein operators, which help to approximate bounded continuous functions on the unbounded domain. In this paper, we introduce the Chlodowsky variant of q-Bernstein-...

A note on geometrically convex functions

In this paper, we establish several new inequalities for twice differentiable mappings that are connected with the celebrated Hermite-Hadamard integral inequality.

The extended Mittag-Leffler function and its properties

In this paper, we present the extended Mittag-Leffler functions by using the extended Beta functions (Chaudhry et al. in Appl. Math. Comput. 159:589-602, 2004) and obtain some integral representations of them. Th...

Lacunary Δ-statistical convergence in intuitionistic fuzzy n-normed space

The concept of lacunary statistical convergence was introduced in intuitionistic fuzzy n-normed spaces in Sen and Debnath (Math. Comput. Model. 54:2978-2985, 2011). In this article, we introduce the notion of lac...

Approximate solutions for MHD squeezing fluid flow by a novel method

In this paper, a steady axisymmetric MHD flow of two-dimensional incompressible fluids has been investigated. The reproducing kernel Hilbert space method (RKHSM) has been implemented to obtain a solution of th...

Some approximation results for generalized Kantorovich-type operators

In this paper, we construct a new family of operators, prove some approximation results in A-statistical sense and establish some direct theorems for Kantorovich-type integral operators.
