The Energy Informatics.Academy Conference 2023 (EI.A 2023) collected great contributions from researchers and practitioners in various scientific, technological, engineering, and social fields to disseminate original research on the application of digital technology and information management theory and practice to facilitate the global transition towards sustainable and resilient energy systems. With the whole technical program committee’s effort, in total forty-two (42) papers were accepted and presented at the conference.
These 42 papers covered eight important themes in energy informatics, elucidating the breadth and depth of research and development in the energy sector and its convergence with digital technologies:

Hereby, we would like to invite the authors for the accepted and presented papers at EI.A 2023 to publish an extended version of your proceeding paper as a journal article.
The extended version must adhere to the following principles:
- The extended version has to include at least 30% new material.
- It has to cite the original publication.
- It must include an explicit statement about the increment (e.g., new results, better description of materials, etc.) in the cover letter.
