Geoenvironmental Disasters is calling for submissions to our Collection on Mechanisms, Intelligent Recognition, Monitoring and Prevention of Loess Disasters. Due to the special properties of loess, such as structure, water sensitivity and collapsibility, loess is easy to induce geological disasters. Therefore, there is an urgent need for interpreting the triggering mechanisms of loess disasters. The effective monitoring and prevention of loess disasters can significantly reduce the economic and social damage. Herin, aiming at revealing the mechanisms and prevention of loess disasters, this theme focusing on the directions of “Mechanisms, Intelligent Recognition, Monitoring and Prevention of Loess Disasters”.

About the collection

Intelligent recognition and monitoring of loess disasters involve the application of some concepts or models to seek reasonable and effective recommendations for disaster prevention. By coordinating the relationship between human activities and loess disasters, mechanisms, intelligent recognition, monitoring and prevention of geohazard has become an integral component of social development, as well as an important guarantee for reducing loss of life or injury, social economy and environmental losses caused by loess disasters.
