About the collection

Nano Convergence is calling for submissions to our Collection on Smart Nanobiomaterials for Therapeutic and Diagnostic Applications. This special issue introduces the exciting advance-ments in the field of nanobiomaterials and their transformative role in biomedical engineering. Specifi-cally, this issue aims to explore the latest develop-ments in the incorporation of metallic, polymeric, and hybrid nanobiomaterials, which have significantly en-hanced the efficacy of therapeutic agents and diag-nostic devices for various biomedical applications. The issue includes research articles and comprehensive review papers on the following topics.

1.    Utilization of metallic, polymeric, or complex hybrid nanobiomaterials to enhance thera-peutic agents or cellular products, by control-ling drug release kinetics or degradation of hydrogels in a spatiotemporal manner.

2.    Nanobiomaterial-based approaches for the revolutionization of polymeric or cellular con-structs, leading to advancements in thera-peutic purposes.

3.    Development of next-generation nanobiosen-sors utilizing nanobiomaterials for accurate and early diagnosis of various diseases.

4.    Exploration of nanomaterials' potential in en-hancing sensitivity and selectivity of diagnos-tic devices and sensor platforms for detecting specific targets of interest.

By bringing together cutting-edge research in nano-biomaterials and their impact on biomedical engineer-ing, this special issue aims to drive innovations in therapeutic strategies and disease detection, ulti-mately shaping the future of healthcare.
