Author survey results
We want to offer our authors the best possible publishing experience; therefore we constantly work to enhance our services by responding to our authors’ feedback on their experiences publishing in a SpringerOpen journal.
Every author who publishes an article in a SpringerOpen journal has been asked to rate their publication experience, on a scale of ‘very good’ to ‘very poor’. There were over 5,000 respondents in between January 2014 and September 2015.
- 79% of the authors rated their overall experience [of publishing in a SpringerOpen journal] as “good”
- 86% rated the overall peer review process as “good”
- 83% of them found the submission processes to be “good”
Further important aspects:
- 87% of authors would recommend the journal they published in to a colleague
- 83% of authors say they would publish in the journal again
